The Mouse that Apple should have
BUT MACS ONLY HAVE A ONE BUTTON MOUSE! Many people, especially PC using drones, say one of the reasons they don't like or use Macs is because of the Mac's mouse, which currently is a one button no scroll wheel design. I know as well as most Mac users you practically can connect most any USB flavor multi-button thing-a-mug-mouse to a Mac with little or no effort in using it. Then there are the Mac holdouts too who love Apple's mouse design and wouldn't be caught dead using any other branded mice. Enter MacMice Workspace Products Co.
APPLE MOUSE DONE RIGHT . . . FINALLY MacMice Workspace Products Co. or simply "MacMice" are makers of kewl Apple compatible products including iPod stands/holders, SightFlex iSight stand, PowerBook and iBook stands and coolers. Now they have a remarkable new product simply called "The Mouse."
MacMice is here to calm the PC masses and cure the single-button-minded Mac users stuck with a one button-no scroll wheel mouse with "The Mouse". "The Mouse" is essentially a USB multi-button scroll wheel mouse which Apple should have been including with all their desktops systems for the past two years in my opinion. MacMice did it right, clean elegant design which compliments most any recent Mac system. GETTING IT The Mouse came within a few days in a small box via UPS. No visable signs of "shipping soccer" to report of.
USING IT The Mouse includes three programable buttons including a scroll wheel. I used the "The Mouse" for the past month with games (a must), graphic applications, web authoring and surfing the net with no abnormalities to report. It has performed flawlessly in that time and along with the added buttons and scroll wheel making my computing experience more pleasurable, productive and able to finally lop grenades in Medal of Honor game like a pro. Besides the added buttons and scroll wheel I forgot I wasn't using the Apple mouse, same sleek feel. ITEMS OF NOTE One item that might hinder heavy hand mice users is the left and right buttons are part of the entire mouse case. Which means if you don't hold the mouse in a normal fashion, hold it or press from the back of the mouse for instance, you could get undesired clicks or cursor selections. Not a problem at all for me but I noticed this when I was just mousing around holding The Mouse differently testing it out and running it through it paces. One other item of note are the buttons when you click them are very noticeable. The clicks are not a concern to me and are just a tad louder when compared to Apple's mouse.
WHAT I LIKE Apple-like design styling finally in a 3-button scroll wheel mouse, oh, and kewl red glowing base is sweet too. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE That Apple hasn't developed and released a mouse like this for Mac users already! Seriously, not a thing. Price is a little much but seems fair compared to other similar mice without the Apple-like design. I do wish the mouse cable was a tad longer but an extension cable suffices.
OVERALL/SUGGESTIONS If you love the Apple Mouse design but wanted more mousing options like more buttons and a scroll wheel then this mouse is for you. If your a PC using dweeb and held off trying a Mac because of Apple's single-button mouse then this will tame all your fears. LAST WORD Do you hate your current mouse?
